I n p u t / O u t p u t
24 Inputs a re level or edge triggered and can be user
c o n f i g u red as forward / reverse limits, home, stop,
e r ro r, or general purpose inputs. General purpose
inputs may be configured to interrupt the MINT™ or
‘C’ program and call a service ro u t i n e .
12 Outputs a re user configured as drive enable, erro r
output or general purpose outputs. All user outputs
a re over current protected and a fault condition will
generate an ERROR to the MINT or ‘C’ pro g r a m .
Analog Inputs can be read as 8 x 12 bit values
(single ended input) or 4 x 12 values, (diff e re n t i a l
i n p u t ) .
Remote I/O is connected to the CANbus port and is
simply read from, and written to, using MINT or ‘C’
f u n c t i o n s .
P rogramming Options
MINT is the easiest and quickest way to program the
NextMove PC contro l l e r. MINT programs are
developed using the MINT Programmers Toolkit which
is supplied as standard with every NextMove pro d u c t .
MINT executes on the DSP processor of the
NextMove card, freeing up the PC’s processor to do
other work.
‘C’ Function Libraries p rovide an easy way to
integrate the control functions of Nextmove PC into a
user written ‘C’ program. ‘C’ code may also be
complied to run on the TMS320C31 pro c e s s o r. The
‘C’ functions are contained in Baldor’s MINT Interface
Library CD product, and the TMS320C31 cro s s
complier is available from Texas Instruments.
