Accessories for NextMove PC
BreakOut Module & Cable
The breakout module provides a fast and reliable
method of connecting signals to the NextMove PC.
All I/O wiring is connected using screw connectors.
Encoders use 9 pin D type connectors with the same
pinout as other MINT™ motion controllers. Two
CANbus connectors allow easy daisy-chaining of the
CANbus network.
The breakout module is DIN rail mount and can be
connected to NextMove PC using a Baldor cable
assembly. The entire assembly, NextMove PC, cable
and breakout module, has been designed to ensure
continuous shielding of all signals and to meet CE
requirements.
CANbus Accessories
NextMove PC features one CANbus port for
connecting to Baldor’s I/O modules and operator
panel. These accessories offer connection simplicity
and a fast and reliable method of expanding the
capabilities of the NextMove PC.
Canbus is a high integrity, two wire serial link that
transfers data at rates up to 1M bit/second over a
distance of 130ft/40m. (3200ft/1000m at
50Kbit/second). With just twisted pair, machine wiring
costs material and installation - can be greatly reduced.
At the same time, the reduced number of wires can
provide greater machine reliability
NextMove PC supports the following CANbus
accessories.

8 relay output modules
24 input, 24 output modules
Operator Panels (maximum of 4)
A maximum of 63 CANbus accessories may be
connected to NextMove PC.
Each CANbus accessory has two CANbus connectors
which are electrically identical. This allows several
modules to be ‘daisy chained’ using Baldor’s point to
point cable assemblies. I/O modules can be DIN rail
mounted for easy installation.
